Terms of Service

Effective date: April 6, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Unsave platform (“Service”), operated by Unsave Inc. (“Unsave,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Unsave is an agentless Azure governance platform that provides security posture assessment, compliance monitoring, cost optimization analysis, identity lifecycle management, alerting, and integration capabilities for Microsoft Azure environments. The Service operates by connecting to your Azure tenant through Microsoft Entra ID with read-only permissions you explicitly grant through admin consent.

Unsave does not deploy agents, modify your Azure resources, or make changes to your environment. All access is read-only unless you explicitly initiate a write action (such as RBAC role assignment during onboarding).

3. Account Registration

You must authenticate using a Microsoft Entra ID account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Azure credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to grant the Azure permissions required by the Service. Free accounts are limited to one Azure tenant. Paid plans support multiple tenants and organizations as described in the plan documentation.

4. Azure Permissions and Access

During onboarding, you grant Unsave read-only access to your Azure tenant through Microsoft Entra ID admin consent. The specific permissions requested include:

  • Microsoft Graph: Directory.Read.All, Application.Read.All for identity and access analysis
  • Azure Resource Manager: Reader role for resource, security, compliance, and cost data

You may revoke these permissions at any time through the Azure portal (Entra ID > Enterprise Applications). Revoking access will prevent Unsave from syncing new data but will not automatically delete previously collected metadata.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to access Azure tenants or subscriptions you do not own or have authorization to manage
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without a valid MSP or Reseller plan
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service beyond the provided API
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use the Service for competitive analysis or to build a competing product
  • Exceed the rate limits, scan quotas, or resource limits associated with your plan

6. Plans, Billing, and Payment

Unsave offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. If you exceed the limits of your current plan (scan quotas, subscription count, or feature access), you may be prompted to upgrade.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.

7. Data Handling

Unsave collects and stores Azure resource metadata (resource names, types, configurations, RBAC assignments, security findings, cost data, and compliance assessment results) to provide the Service. This data is stored in encrypted databases and is isolated per organization.

Unsave does not access, store, or process the content of your Azure resources (such as blob storage contents, database records, virtual machine data, or application code). We access metadata and configuration only.

For full details on data collection and processing, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Security Assessments and Recommendations

The security scores, compliance assessments, cost recommendations, and remediation guidance provided by the Service are informational and advisory. They do not constitute professional security consulting, legal compliance certification, or financial advice.

You are solely responsible for evaluating and implementing any recommendations. Unsave does not guarantee that following our recommendations will prevent security incidents, achieve regulatory compliance, or reduce costs by any specific amount. Compliance framework mappings (CIS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF) are best-effort interpretations and do not replace formal audits.

9. API Access

Paid plans may include API access governed by rate limits and quotas specific to your plan tier. API keys are confidential and must not be shared or embedded in client-side code. You are responsible for all activity conducted through your API keys. Unsave may revoke API keys that are found to be compromised or used in violation of these Terms.

10. White-Label and MSP Usage

MSP and Reseller plans may include white-label features (custom domains, branding). You are responsible for ensuring that your use of white-label features does not misrepresent the origin of the Service or violate any third-party trademarks. Unsave retains all intellectual property rights in the underlying platform regardless of custom branding applied.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, scoring methodologies, compliance mappings, and documentation, is owned by Unsave and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain all rights to your Azure data and configurations.

12. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on Microsoft Azure APIs and Microsoft Entra ID, which are outside our control. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by Azure outages, network failures, or force majeure events.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unsave and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Unsave in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of security assessments, completeness of compliance mappings, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

15. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through the account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay for a paid plan, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a security risk.

Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your stored Azure metadata within 30 days of termination unless retention is required by law. You may request data export before termination.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you may terminate your account before the effective date.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada. Both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
